Child Safety Standards — Crossover Community Church app ("Crossover: The Journey")
Crossover Community Church has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, and any sexual content involving minors.
How we protect children in the app • Directory access requires approval by a church pastor before anyone can see member information. • Birth year is stored privately and never shown on profiles. Minors do not get public contact cards. • Direct messages between an adult and a minor are recorded and can be reviewed by church administrators. Both people see a notice of this inside the conversation. • Every chat and message can be reported from inside the app. Reports go to church administrators and our care team. • Messages that suggest a crisis alert our pastoral staff.
What we do when something is reported • We review reports promptly and remove content that violates these standards. • We suspend or remove accounts involved in CSAE. • We report suspected CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement as required by law. • We follow the church's safeguarding policy for children and youth ministry.
